WBNS: CelebrateOne honors inaugural graduates, looking for more community health workers to reduce infant mortality

The first 16 Community Health Workers from CelebrateOne’s Community Connector Corps program were recognized by the Columbus City Council and United Health Foundation during a graduation ceremony this afternoon at City Hall.

This inaugural class makes up 16 of the 72 Community Health Workers being trained over the next three years at Ohio State University College of Nursing, helping expand the number of community-based caregivers that are able to conduct outreach, build trust and reduce barriers to care that will help reduce the risk for increased rates of chronic morbidity and infant mortality.
